Rich Hume has spent hours breaking in an Evolution 15cc gas engine that per directions required a few gallons of fuel to properly seat the moving parts. Unfortunately, an engine of this type uses practically no fuel and Rich has spent hours in the air going through not quite a gallon of gas. Add to that the recommendation to mix the ratio at 20%. A nice rich oil mixture allows the engine to ease into the break-in but it also causes tuning and running problems.
