WELCOME TO THE ROGUE EAGLES!
New members young or old are always welcomed! You would be joining an RC club with about 115 active members who range from brand new flyers to some old pros. All of us are glad to see new flyers come out and enjoy what is probably the finest facility in Oregon (in our opinion). We have a paved runway 400 feet long by 100 feet wide surrounded by an absence of AIRPLANE EATING TREES. There are 5 pilot stations, a helicopter pad, 5 'start-up' stations and a large shaded hanger to picnic or tell tale tales. We have a battery operated charging station for emergency use but no electricity or water. Most flyers bring water or a non-alcoholic beverage with them as a matter of course. There are also two large concrete "facilities" to use the bathroom.
There are just two things you need to be a Rogue Eagle and fly at the field and they are...
1. A current AMA card click here.
2. A current Rogue eagles membership card.
A. Print out this Membership Application Form and fill it out.B. Write a check made out to ROGUE EAGLES for the membership dues. You may also pay your club dues with cash.
C. Make sure you have your AMA card. If haven't received you AMA card in the mail yet call AMA and get your AMA number. No AMA number...no flying at Agate Skyways.
D. Load up your plane(s) and head out to Agate Skyways. (Where is Agate Skyways? - Click here for map.) Once there letsomeone know that you want to join and ask them to direct you to a club officer. The club officer will gladly accept
your membership application, verify your AMA insurance card and collect your membership dues. He will quickly go over
the safety rules, let you know the gate combination and answer any questions that you may have.
That's it...you are now a Rogue Eagle welcome aboard...now you're ready to FLY!!!
You may also join at one of our monthly general meetings. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Senior Citizen's Center, 123 N. 2nd St., Central Point, Or. You may also mail in the application, a copy of your AMA card and a check made out to ROGUE EAGLES for the membership dues to the address on the Membership Application Form. How much does it cost to join? Typically the AMA insurance is $58 per year and the club dues are $50 per year for a standard membership, and $20 for associate (non-flying) membership. There is also a one-time processing fee of $25. So, the total for a first time member would be $58 + $50 +$25 = $128.
